Shanna Iglesias is an American actor, writer, and comedian of Cuban and Irish descent. She was born and raised in South Florida. After developing a love for performance at a young age, Shanna attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied at the Atlantic Acting School and Experimental Theatre Wing as well as studying Spanish art, language and documentary filmmaking in Madrid, Spain.
Since graduating Shanna has been developing a screenplay with her writing partner Alexis Cofield, as well as working on other independent writing projects. She's performed at MoMA PSA, Danspace Project, Park Avenue Armory, Alchemical Studios, Wild Project, Caveat and has also done stand up with Women Stand Up, as well as other shows and open mics across the city.
Most recently, Shanna performed in Only Remains Remain by Freya Powell at MoMA PS1. When she's not acting, writing or at an open mice, you can find Shanna teaching, painting, dancing, doing yoga and practicing Spanish.
